Once you've had time to let things resonate, it's time to move forward especially with venues playing catch up because of the pandemic. One of the most important aspects of planning your wedding is choosing a wedding date. That's why we came up with 6 Tips on How to Choose Your Wedding Date.

1. Holidays

Two of the most popular holidays that may be good for your wedding include New Year's Eve and the 4th of July. These holidays are celebratory times and guests won't have to figure out any plans on these dates. Some venues may even have a fireworks show on these holidays. On the other hand, Some holidays to avoid are those in which people enjoy spending time with family and friends such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.



2. Local Events

Whether you are getting married in your hometown or another destination, you want to avoid any popular local events or conventions that may be taking place during that time. For instance, if the NBA is hosting the All-Star game in a particular city, then traffic could be a nightmare for your guests. You may want to avoid that date altogether.

The venue you have your heart set on is one of the essential elements when choosing your wedding date. Be sure to check with your venue to ensure that your wedding date is available or if there is an alternative date that you would consider.

Just like the venue, if you have a wedding planner or photographer that you must have at your wedding, you would want to check to make sure that they are available on your wedding date. Also, keep in mind that booking your wedding venue should come before booking any of your vendors. Again, the venues tend to book up more rapidly.


5. Other Weddings
